“Dear Selina: I wanted to contact you and say ‘thank you’ and to tell you how much I appreciated the work we did together this year in selling my Vancouver condo. As you know, I spend most of my time in Ontario and seldom am I in Vancouver, so choosing ‘the right’ agent was really important to me. You may not know this but I “interviewed’ four agents before choosing you. I asked each for an appraisal of my condo and to give me some ideas about how ‘we’ would work together. From this sample of four, I learned some agents think they ‘deserve’ the listing simply because they pulled information off the MLS, some agents don’t believe they need to get back to a potential client in a ‘timely fashion’ and some agents believe an existing tenant should vacate the property thus making it more convenient for a potential buyer to view the condo, regardless of the inconvenience to the existing tenant or the revenue loss during the selling-period. With you I learned:

- You are prompt in returning calls,
- You know the importance of regular contact,
- You are professional in the type & format of the REPORT you sent me,
- Your realistic assessment of the market conditions lead to realistic selling-price range,
- Patience is not a virtue with all realtors. My condo was not a ‘fast sale’ yet I never even felt a hint from you that ‘we’ should consider reducing the price… “to get more action”,
-You are considerate of existing tenants and you repeatedly demonstrated your professionalism on my behalf while at the same time considered HIS rights and inconveniences resulting from the sale of HIS home, and
- Once we had successfully negotiated a ‘sale’, the paperwork and all the typical loose ends were handled quickly and smoothly. You even pointed me in the direction of a competent and reasonably priced real estate lawyer. This meant I didn’t have to go back to the lawyer who mis-handled my previous Vancouver real estate transaction nor did I have to go to the YELLOW pages to find another lawyer.

Bottom line, Selina…it was a pure pleasure doing business with you this year. I wish I owned more properties so we could continue working together! Should any of your prospective clients want to talk to someone who’s used your services from a far, give them my number, I’d be glad to talk with them.

Selina Jansen is a fantastic realtor! We were expecting our third child and in desperate need of a bigger house. A house came up for sale four doors from our children's school. This is where we wanted to be. With Selina's help we bought the house and then were faced with the pressure of selling our home within a month. This was not a problem with Selina at our side. Our house was sold on the first open house for a price above our asking price.
